Hello, Stormbounders! A new version of Stormbound is coming in January, bringing New Year's Event and balance changes.
New Year's Event
To celebrate the New Year, we’re hosting a special event in Stormbound!
The New Year's event runs from January 7th to January 13th, 2025, ending at 8:00 AM CET.
New Year's Gift
During the event, everyone will receive a gift of 
200 coins. To grab the gift, just redeem a special code, which is valid from January 7th to January 13th, 2025, 8:00 AM CET.
Gift code: FIREWORKS
- To activate the code, go to the redeem code site.
- Enter the code in the Code field.
- Enter your Player ID in the Player ID field (you can find your Player ID in the in-game settings and copy it from there).
- Click the Redeem Code button.
Note: You can only redeem this code from Jan 7th 2025, until Jan 13th, 2025 (8:00 AM CET). If you experience any problems with activating the code, please contact @Aileen on Discord or email contact@stormboundgames.com for assistance.
More Cards
Book of Elders and Book of Ancients will yield 2 extra cards for the duration of the whole event in store, starting from January 7th to January 13th, 2025, 8:00 AM CET.
Ruby bonus
Moreover, every Ruby bundle will yield double the original number of rubies. This is not time-bound, and effectively lasts forever until every bundle has been bought once.
Balance changes
This release, just like any other, will bring some balance changes.
- Boomstick Officers’ ability made to deal 2/3/4/5/6 damage (down from 3/4/5/6/7)
- Brood Sages’ ability now spawns 1 strength Toad on 2/2/3/4/4 tiles (adjusted from 2/3/3/4/5)
- Conflicted Drakes’ strength is now 3/4/4/5/5 (up from 2/3/3/4/4)
- Heroic Soldiers’ strength is now 7/8/9/10/12 (up from 6/7/8/9/11)
- Fluffy Badboxers’ strength is now 6/7/8/9/11 (up from 5/6/7/8/10)
- Lasting Remains’ strength is now 8/10/12/14/16 (adjusted from 8/9/11/13/15).
As usual, some compensation in the form of coins and fusion stones will be provided to owners of Brood Sages and Boomstick Officers, proportional to the level and rarity of the card. Find below the compensation values for each rarity and level.
Rare card: 15 coins and 
2 fusion stones at level 2, 30 coins and 3 fusion stones at level 3, 90 coins and 7 fusion stones at level 4, 190 coins and 10 fusion stones at level 5.
Epic card: 15 coins and 2 fusion stones at level 2, 40 coins and 5 fusion stones at level 3, 120 coins and 10 fusion stones at level 4, 250 coins and 20 fusion stones at level 5.

- The season reset and balance change: January 1st, 2025, 8:00 AM CET.
To implement these balance changes, a scheduled automated maintenance will take place on January 1st at 7:55 AM CET.
